On September 10th, Chinese Teachers’ Day (Jiao Shi Jie) was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Nepal. The event was organized by students of the Basic Chinese Language Class of the Central Department of Management, Tribhuvan University.

The highlight of the occasion was the recognition of Professor Xin Lu Gao, the Director of the Confucius Institute at TU, who was honored for his exceptional contributions to Chinese language education. Alongside him, other esteemed educators, including language teacher Wang Lisha, Chinese language coordinator Dr. Bal Ram Duwal, MBA finance program director Dr. Bharat Singh Thapa, and MBA CL program director Dr. Sunita Bhandari, were also acknowledged for their valuable roles in promoting education and cultural exchange.

During the program, director Xin Lu Gao expressed his deep gratitude for the celebration of Teachers’ Day in Nepal, emphasizing the importance of fostering educational ties between China and Nepal.

Event coordinator Bimala Maharjan extended a warm welcome to all the guests and participants, setting the tone for a day of appreciation and collaboration. Class monitor Shania Pandey delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks on behalf of all attendees.

Students played a central role in the festivities by showcasing their talents. They sang both Chinese and Nepalese songs and delighted the audience with their spirited dances. This celebration not only recognized the dedication of educators but also fostered cultural understanding and friendship between China and Nepal.
