On the 25th of August 2017, Tribhuvan University-Central Department of Management (TU-CDM) and Ministry of Finance, Financial Comptroller General Office signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which will see the pioneers of academic sector and the implementing sector work hand-in-hand to produce policy recommendation.

Deputy Financial Comptroller General Suvash Chandra Shiwakoti, officially inaugurated the program by illuminating current status of public finance in Nepal and objectives of the. He further highlighted how research can contribute to improve the quality and effectiveness of public investment in Nepal.
Professor Bhoj Raj Aryal, PhD, gave special thanks to Financial Comptroller General Office for providing grand opportunity for collaboration with academic sector and government agencies. He added that this beginning step obviously encourage to the researcher student. He optimistically told that the current agreement will turned as a milestone activity in Tribhuvan University’s entire history.
Director Financial Comptroller General Rajendra Prasad Nepal gave the vote of thanks to all participants and contributors of the event. He believed that the MOU will provide crucial and effective policy recommendation for the government especially in investment sector.
The major event concluded with the MoU signing between the Head of Central Department of Management-TU, Prof. Bhoj Raj Aryal and Joint Director Damodar Regmi for Finanical Controller General Office.
In the programme Joint Director Jagannath Devkota, Joint Secretary Kishori Joshi and officials from Financial Controller General Office and Reader Ajay Prasad Dhakal, Lecturer Govinda Tamang PhD, Lecturer Bal Ram Duwal PhD, other officials and research students from central department of management-TU were present.
According to MoU, four research student will get financial assistance of Rs.35 thousand each and some students will get opportunity to do internship in the Financial Comptroller General Office.
